2-Day Mokoro Safari (Dug-out Canoe)
Overview
This tour takes you into the heart of the Okavango Delta, where you can experience the wilderness silently by mokoro, away from vehicle traffic. It allows more time to observe wildlife without disturbance from vehicles. Guests have the opportunity to see things often missed during vehicle safaris, such as animal footprints, droppings, insects, and other small details of the ecosystem.

Itenary

Day 1: Maun Lodge
Morning pick-up from Maun Lodge, en-route game drive to the mokoro station. Meet the polers and transfer by mokoro into one of the islands in the Okavango Delta. In the afternoon, enjoy a mokoro excursion followed by a guided nature walk. Overnight camping in the Okavango Delta Camp Site. Accommodation: tent size 3x3m (shared), each tent has a private veranda, proper bed inside, bush toilet, bush shower and sink, our staff take care of camp chores.

Day 2: Okavango Delta
Morning nature walk, then transfer by mokoro back to the mokoro station. Drive back to Maun with drop-off at Maun International Airport.
