Itinerary

Day 1: Maun – Lodge Accommodation

Day 2–5: Central Kalahari Game Reserve – Camping
Your guide will collect you early in the morning from your lodge. We begin our safari into the Central Kalahari Game Reserve—one of the largest protected wilderness areas in Botswana. The Deception and Passarge Valleys offer open landscapes ideal for spotting cheetahs. The tour is divided into two sections to cover both valleys.

Day 6: Maun – Lodge Accommodation
On the final day, we return to Maun. You have the option to enjoy a 45-minute scenic flight over the Okavango Delta (Maun to Maun). This offers an aerial view of the Delta and its winding waterways across Botswana’s flat terrain. Dinner at the lodge is at your own expense.

Itinerary

Day 1: Kasane / Chobe – Camping

Days 2–3: Nxai Pan National Park – Camping
Travel from Kasane to Nxai Pan National Park, home to a variety of wildlife including impalas, springboks, cheetahs, lions, and elephants. Enjoy game drives over two days.

Day 4: Maun – Camping
Travel through the park to Maun. Your guide will assist with topping up beverages. Optional scenic flight available in the afternoon. Those not flying may rest at the lodge. Dinner is at your own expense.

Days 5–7: Okavango Delta – Camping
Head into the Delta, meet your local polers, and camp on a remote island. Enjoy mokoro excursions and nature walks.
Note: Pack a small bag for 2 days on the island. Other luggage will be locked in a trailer.

Days 8–10: Moremi Game Reserve – Camping
Explore Moremi’s diverse ecosystems with game drives. Spend two nights in one section of the park and one night in another.

Days 11–12: Chobe National Park – Camping
Visit iconic areas like Mababe Depression, Savuti, Linyanti, and Chobe Riverfront. Enjoy game drives and a boat cruise.
On the last day, return to Kasane where the safari ends. Free transfers are offered to Kasane Airport or Kazungula Border.

We continue our journey to the magical Okavango Delta, where we will meet with the poler and camp on one of the islands. Spend two days exploring the area through mokoro excursions and guided nature walks.

Note: Before boarding the mokoro, please pack a small handbag or backpack with essentials for the 2-night island stay. This helps reduce weight. Remaining luggage will be locked in the trailer and stored safely.

Days 5–7: Moremi Game Reserve – Camping
Moremi is among the best wilderness areas in Botswana, featuring seasonal swamps, channels, and dry areas. It lies within the Okavango Delta and spans 5,000 km². We will explore two sections of the park, spending two nights in one area and one night in another. Activities include game drives.

Days 8–9: Chobe National Park – Camping
Chobe is Botswana’s first national park, established in 1962. It is known for its high elephant population and features such as the Mababe Depression, Savuti Marsh, Linyanti, and Chobe River Front. Enjoy game drives and a boat cruise.

On the final day, we drive through the park to Kasane village. The safari ends in Kasane, where guests will be transferred to their next destination or lodge.

Pioneer Safari Tours offers free transfers within Kasane, including Kasane Airport and the Kazungula border (Botswana–Zimbabwe/Namibia/Zambia).

Days 5–8: Chobe National Park – Camping
